Assembly Bill 685 setting up what an Employer’s obligations are to his/her employees has been bouncing between the Assembly and the State Senate, but was finally adopted, enrolled and signed by the Governor yesterday [Friday, 9-17-20]. Among other safety measures, you will find that an employer [Farmers, Store Owners, Manufacturers, Service Providers, Restaurants] have an obligation to give notice within 24 hours of potential exposure, including exposure from/to independent contractors.
Y’All will want to examine the statute. A nice summary is included in a much shorter Assembly Floor Analysis that was the last document in the legislative history of the Bill before it was finally adopted.
